Hehehe Ada lagi nih satu tips SEO supaya blog kita mudah terindeks oleh Google. Yaitu membuat sitemap di google search console. Duh duhhh apa lagi tuh Sitemap, Chy? Ojo njlimet toh… Ora! Baca pelan-pelan artikel ini yaa… Jangan lupa, ditemani secangkir kopi akan lebih mantap! 😉
Apa itu Sitemap?
Buat blogger newbie seperti saya, tadinya gak paham apa pula itu sitemap. Emangnya berguna untuk kelangsungan hidup blog saya kelak? BERGUNA! Jadi jangan coba-coba menyepelekan si sitemap ini yes!
Sitemap atau yang biasa disebut juga peta situs itu adalah penggambaran tentang isi dari blog. Penggambaran itu berisi segala informasi mengenai halaman, artikel, file, foto, pokoknya semua yang ada di dalam blog. Sitemap ini berguna karena dapat memudahkan mesin pencari (search engine) untuk mencari isi dari blog kamu.
Sitemap juga menjadi cara sederhana bagi para blogger untuk menginformasikan kepada search engine (contohnya Google) tentang halaman-halaman yang ada di blog kita, sehingga memudahkan Google untuk crawl/merayapi blog tersebut sehingga bisa mengindeks lebih baik lagi.
Sitemap berupa file XML yang berisikan daftar URL sebuah blog beserta dengan masing-masing metadata dari blog tersebut. Contoh metadata: data terakhir update, sesering apa URL nya berubah, dan tingkat keutamaannya dibanding URL lainnya. Metadata ini yang membantu search engine untuk membaca dan meng-crawl blog kita. Sitemap ini yang menyediakan data-datanya dan dengan memasang sitemap, blog kita makin cepat terindeks oleh Google.
Membuat sitemap di google search console
Yang syuudahh pusing mana suaranyaaa? Heuheuhe jangan dong.. Kamu gak perlu pusing tujuh keliling kok untuk membuat sitemap ini. Caranya cukup mendaftarkan blog kamu dulu di Google Search Console.
- Sign in ke Google Search Console kamu, kemudian pilih Crawl -> Sitemap di sidebar sebelah kiri.
2. Klik tombol ADD SITEMAP di pojok kanan atas, masukkan saja nama URL: sitemap.xml
Lalu klik tombol Submit.
Sudah kok itu saja… Tapi harap sabar ya bu ibu pak bapak.. Karena Google juga memerlukan waktu untuk mengindeks sitemap kamu. Jadi jangan panik saat setelah submit masih ada tulisan pending. Sampai ketemu di Blogger Newbie selanjutnya! 😉
